Spencer Gibbs is an associate at Toberoff & Associates whose practice focuses on intellectual property, entertainment, and other high-stakes, complex litigation matters. He is experienced in all phases of civil litigation, from managing complex discovery and conducting depositions to drafting dispositive motions.
After earning a Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law, Mr. Gibbs completed a Master of Laws in intellectual property at Loyola Law School. A native of Los Angeles, he holds a Bachelor of Arts, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Gibbs is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Intellectual Property Law (ABA-IPL), the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association. In 2022, he collaborated with fellow ABA-IPL members to prepare a response to a U.S. Copyright Office notice of inquiry on technical measures for online copyright protection.
An accomplished musician (trumpet and piano), Mr. Gibbs worked in television production and music education before embarking on his legal career.
Mr. Gibbs is admitted to practice in the State of California and before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
